Very happy to inform you that the Department of Defence & Strategic Studies (DDSS), Savitribai Phule Pune University organised the annual General BC Joshi Memorial Lecture 2019, on Monday, 26th August 2019, at 4.30 pm at Dhanvantari Auditorium, Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. The topic of the lecture was "Indian Ocean Region - Changing Dynamics- Maritime Security Imperatives for India" by Admiral Karambir Singh, PVSM, AVSM, ADC, Chief of the Naval Staff.
Prof. (Dr.) Nitin Karmalkar, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, SPPU; Dr. N.S.Umarani, Hon'ble Pro Vice-Chancellor, SPPU ; Prof.(Dr.) Prafulla Pawar, Registrar, SPPU, Staff and DDSS students of SPPU, veterans, army officers and others attended the lecture in large numbers.
