An MOU was signed between the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies (DDSS), Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and the National Maritime Foundation, (NMF), New Delhi

An MOU was signed between the two in order to start a Post Graduate Diploma in “Underwater Domain Awareness Framework” followed by a lecture delivered by Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM, IN (Retd), Director General, National Maritime Foundation (NMF), New Delhi on “Historical and Contemporary Development of Warships: ‘Types’, ‘Classes’, ‘Projects’ and Inherent Characteristics of Warships,” on Monday, 27th December, 2021, at 03:00 p.m. at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hall, Main Building, SPPU.

MOU Signing Ceremony between Ministry of Defence, Government of India and Department of Defence and Strategic Studies, Savitribai Phule Pune University to establish the Chair of Excellence at the DDSS, SPPU

The Department of Defence and Strategic Studies (DDSS), Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), has set a high bar by being associated with the Ministry of Defence, Government of India for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish the Chair of Excellence at the Department of Defence & Strategic Studies, SPPU on Friday, 3rd September 2021 at 11:45 a.m. at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hall, Main Building, SPPU.

MOU exhange ceremony between Department of Defence and Strategic Studies, SPPU and Institute of Defence Scientists and Technologists to start PG Diploma in Defence Technology

The Department of Defence and Strategic Studies (DDSS), Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and Institute of Defence Scientists and Technologists (IDST) has signed and exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to start PG Diploma in “Defence Technology” on Friday, 27th August 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hall, Main Building, SPPU.

MoU between Indian Air Force and Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune

The Savitribai Phule Pune University's (SPPU), Department of Defence and Strategic Studies (DDSS) and the Indian Air Force (IAF) Headquarters, New Delhi, signed two MOUs on Saturday, 29th February, 2020, at 11:00 a.m, at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Hall, Main Building, SPPU. The first being an MOU to establish the first ever Chair of Excellence in India, in the name of Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh and the second being an MOU for Resident Scholar Programme (RSP) for air force officers, at DDSS, SPPU.

The Chair of Excellence has set a tone to enhance further collaborations between the armed forces and the academia.

The MOU was signed by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, SPPU, Prof. (Dr.) Nitin Karmalkar and Air Marshal Amit Dev, AVSM VSM, Air Officer Incharge Personnel, Indian Air Force.
